Laura here. I have started this LJ account exclusively for my artistic ramblings in order to free the other one up for commentary on my actual life. I've been telling stories since I could talk, and wrote my very first poem in grade three. My first short story preceded that in grade two, and my first novella was written when I was twelve. Poetry-wise, I write mostly free verse, though I do experiment with formal styles now and then. I may post a few short fiction pieces on this blog now and then, since they're generally just babbling that I have no intention of publishing. In regards to prose, I hope to write in many different genres. I'm currently working on a novel in stream of consciousness style, and have the text for two picture books languishing in my computer memory. In future I hope to finish a fantasy I've been working on intermittently, a few science fiction novels I have plots for, a sort of rebuttal of the Da Vinci Code, and a children's novel. Whether or not all these pieces will contain mention of whales remains to be seen. *shifty eyes*
